The Texas ACT Council presented Woodrow Wilson High School with the 2009 College Readiness Award in recognition of having a significant increase in its ACT Composite score of the past five years while increasing the number of students taking the ACT Assessment. This award is given to less than 5% of all Texas high schools.
Our students continue to be honored for their academic achievements in many areas including, academic UIL competitions and Academic Decathlons.
Our extracurricular programs allow students to participate in full-scale Broadway-style musicals, an award-winning show choir, competitive Mock Trial team, Debate team and many more clubs and programs.
Woodrow Wilson H.S. is the only U.S. high school to be the alma mater of two Heisman Trophy winners: Davey O'Brien and Tim Brown. The Wildcats tradition of athletic excellence continues today.
